Meet The Staff
Joy Campbell - Owner. After working for another business in decorating and leaving their facility, I truly missed my job. My husband knew how I enjoyed working with brides and seeing their dreams come to life and he realized how much I was longing to get back into the field. To my surprise, he set everything up to start my own business except for the name. He not only believed in me - that I could create a successful business, he is also my biggest help.
Finding staff that cares as much as I do was not an easy task. It is important to me for my staff to want drapings to be even, lights to work, for pins not to show, and to wear gloves when handling glass, etc. I have been truly blessed with the following staff members.
Amy - Amy has been employed with Joyous Occasions since the onset. She is a senior at Pitt majoring in criminal psychology. Amy's OCD is certainly a quality I cherish in this business. She doesn't stop until everything is the way she would want it for her own wedding. Since she has been with me from the beginning, she has done everything from packing, loading, counting, and cleaning. I have total confidence in anything she does.
Erin - Erin joined the staff at the beginning of 2009. The proud mother of a nine month old boy - she resigned her position in the work force to become a stay at home Mom. Being she was married several years ago, the importance of the wedding day being perfect is still fresh in her mind. Erin brings great suggestions to the staff. She also has recently opened her own business, Little Love Photography. Contact Erin at littlelovephoto@yahoo.com 724-895-3685.
Mandy - Mandy is the newest member of the staff. She is a 2008 graduate of Ohio State University and recently moved back to the area. Mandy also formerly worked for a another decorating firm and we are SO pleased to have her join Joyous Occasions Decorating.
My Family & Friends - My family and closest friends have been so supportive - they are always there for me. Myhusband, sons and our closest friends do whatever needs done. Unfortunate for them, but that usually entails tearing down at 11:00 at night. I know this business was meant to be - Joyous Occasions Decorating is growing by leaps and bounds - and that's not just a coincidence - that's a gift that has been given to us.
