Where to begin…I was a bride in the early stages of planning my big event and I am sure I felt how every bride feels when planning their big day – overwhelmed. I had an idea on how our day would look and searched endlessly for a decorator that would fit not only my budget, but my vision as well.

Continuously searching and running into dead ends for a decorator I stumbled across Joyous Occasions Decorating. Her website sums up everything she is capable of doing and I was amazed at her versatility in creating an ambiance suited for every bride, so I immediately called and set up and appointment. When Joy arrived she was prepared to discuss my needs, equipped with pictures and other forms of samples to help me narrow down my choices. She listened intently as I explained my wants and needs and then she made suggestions and recommendations. She took the small ideas I had and blossomed it into a spectacular reality!

Our ceremony and reception venue was at the Mayernik Center at Avonworth Community Park set for June 25, 2011. The pavilion on the premises was to hold our ceremony, and this space had little potential. She was able to transform the space into something out of a fantasy, I felt as though I was in a dream with how amazing the decorations were. I actually at one point had to pinch myself to see if I was awake. Bright colors of orange and yellow set the tone, mixed with soft white fabric drapings and accented with Chinese lanterns in the ceiling. My guests are still talking about how beautiful the space was decorated! My florist and wedding coordinator also complimented Joy’s style and said they have seen couples try to achieve this type of scene, but never quite got there.

She is very particular and enthusiastic on the way she decorates, and her staff exudes the same professionalism. Joy was noting but an absolute dream to work with and exceeded our every expectation. I could ramble on for days on all the little things she did to accommodate us - from the planning stages, to the budget, to the subtle nuances along the way. I would recommend her to everyone I know that is planning an event, and I will use her again in the future.
