Tips For "Going Green" On Your Wedding Day

Saving the Earth is everyone's concern and responsibility these days.  Here are a few tips you may be able to incorporate into your wedding and or reception.

Consider an outdoor wedding and reception.  Using natural light - saving electricity.

Have your wedding and reception in the same location.  Your guests will be delighted to not have to drive across town (or further) saving gasoline.

Use recycled paper for your invitations.  Using a website for guests to RSVP will save paper by eliminating the need for RSVP cards and envelopes.  There are many free websites available to use this feature.  (mywedding.com & theknot.com - just to name a few)

Favors should be useful, not disposable.  Consider a fruit in season or a donation to a local library in honor of each of your guests. 

You don't have to sacrifice style or your personal taste in planning an environmentally conscious event.
